FOREWORD

THE PURPOSE of this syllabus is to provide a series of basic doctrinal lessons
to Missionary Baptists to use in personal discipleship. This material is prima-
rily designed to be presented on a one-to-one or couple-to-couple basis in the
home; however, it can be used in a Bible study setting or in church classes.

In these last days, full of heresies, false teachers, and religious deception of
every kind, Missionary Baptists need every possible opportunity to present
the true doctrines of Christ. These lessons add the dimension of teaching ev-
ery member of the church to be an effective personal teacher of the basic
doctrines.

THE VALUE of this type of teaching is quickly and readily seen in the lives of those who are being discipled and in the discipler, as well. New converts are rapidly grounded in the faith and become alert to religious error which helps protect them from falling away. The benefit to the church is seen in the members’ becoming effective personal workers, winning others to the truth, and helping the church grow.

It is prayerfully hoped that this syllabus will be eagerly received and effectively used by Missionary Baptists as part of the effort of going into all the world and making disciples.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT is given to all the precious brethren who have contrib-
uted to the material in this syllabus. In an effort to properly recognize each
person by name who has made a contribution to the lessons, it was quickly
recognized that this is an impossible task. These lessons represent the work
of countless brethren over an unknown number of years. If you recognize a
lesson or any part of a lesson as being your work, please know that God’s
people are grateful and are praying that your heart will be blessed in realiz-
ing that you have made a valuable contribution to their lives.

Church Leadership

CHURCH LEADERSHIP by Ptr. John Brillantes

1Ti 3:1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
1Ti 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
1Ti 3:3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
1Ti 3:4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
1Ti 3:5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

To be a Church Leader like a Pastor is the most honorable and sensitive position that a newly converted (NOVICE), even wise, intelligent, secular university graduate should not be hastily given the title or the position until a God given time to determine his calling, attitude, and time to learn the Bible doctrines and what it takes to be a Pastor.

1Ti 3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

Jesus Christ, the King of Kings is teaching us His principles of true leadership. Leading by example... The hardest way of leadership style, because you must walk the talk, you must live what you preach, you must show them how to rightly do it. No problem with our Lord because He is perfect and He is our God. We can only obtain that correct application by inner changes in our life. First, you should be saved, meaning the Holy Spirit is inside you, dwelling and making the construction and repair of your attitudes, character, thinking through the Bible, this makes studying the Bible a must. You can never attain spiritual maturity without reading, studying and meditating in God's Holy Word. God's word is the material that the Holy Spirit will use to build you. It is the perfect sword to protect you and you can use against the enemies of correct mindset that God wants you to attain. Satan is fighting to have a place in your mind through wrong ideas, false information, wrong examples, wrong understanding of issues and applications. The pastor should have a system of knowledge of ministerial practicalities of doing things that must be Bible based and sound faith.

1Ti 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Leadership behavior in the church as the pillar and ground of the truth may be compromised when we don't know in some point what we do due to lack of study, knowledge or coaching of older pastors.

We will first see God's guidance and instruction of what He wants His church leaders or pastors to behave in the house of God as an ordained leader.

Mat 20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
Mat 20:26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
Mat 20:27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
Mat 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Inverted service... the leader, the motivator, the person responsible for the outcome and result must have the attitude of the lowest servant. God is teaching us the way up starts at the lowest position. It is hard to comprehend the inversion of direction of motives and paradigm, the way UP is DOWN. Jesus made it clear by example and by written words that this should not be so among YOU! You can readily recognize in the set up of so many so-called churches the deviation and the lording, through the hierarchy of officers and political power inside the organization that to go up is to pull many down... and its the dog eat dog scenario of the career ladder in the corporate world.

Mat 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
Mat 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
Mat 23:10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
Mat 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
Mat 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Serving God is in the spirit and truth always... never with the motive to be seen of men, but for God's eyes only and for His consumption and glory!
In God's service, equality, same mind principle is being taught and practiced. We can observe Jesus washing the disciple's feet, sacrifice and humility in the crucifixion, is the trademark of Jesus Christ for us to see that that is what He wants to be seen in His churches. Paul taught this:

Rom 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
1Co 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Php 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

The basics of Christian leadership is founded in the wisdom that God hates Necolaitaines.
Nikolaitēs
Thayer Definition:
Nicolaitans = “destruction of people”
1) a sect mentioned in Rev_2:6,Rev_2:15, who were charged with holding the error of Balaam, casting a stumbling block before the church of God by upholding the liberty of eating things sacrificed to idols as well as committing fornication

1Pe 5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
1Pe 5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
1Pe 5:3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
1Pe 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Lording over God's heritage is one of the sins of leaders, organizations such as conventions, fellowships, denominations that is dictating the affairs of the church, which must be subject alone to Jesus as Head, founder and King.

Church oversight as under shepherd under Christ should not be done by constraint, but willingness is being motivated to gain cheerful service and giving. When the church is touched by example and service, they will follow with love and voluntary.

Everybody is under Christ. He should have all the honor and glory. He should be the content of the heart and mind as we serve... do all for the glory of God.

Preeminence is very critical that it is solely for the King of kings alone. People who wants to usurp it causes problem and are a great hindrance in God's work.

3Jn_1:9 I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.

Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

It is very clear that in all things, in everything,He should be the one being recognized. Let's remember that God is a jealous God and and He alone should be given the highest respect and regard in the church business.

1Th 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
1Th 5:12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
1Th 5:13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
1Th 5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
1Th 5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

Edification is the duty of all the members of the church, to strengthen others, to comfort and to remember the pastors, the leaders, they should do it as unto the Lord, not that the pastor is regarded as Lord but by being obedient to Christ, they encourage the leaders by their love and without this te pastors will not be effective and will fail. Members could help the pastors by being at peace with everybody. Problems in the church between members are diverting precious energy of the church and pastor which is intended for God's work to nonsense immature and childish behavior which should have been used for soul winning, preaching and visitation.

Heb 3:13 But exhort one another every day, whilst it is called to day, that none of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

CHURCHES AND PERSONS SHOULD FISH THE UNSAVED NOT TO PRIORITIZE SAVED FROM OTHER CHURCHES...

TEACH PEOPLE TO FISH AND THE CHURCHES WILL SURVIVE A LIFETIME!

SOUL-WINNING:
By Example

Lesson Text: Acts 4:13
Devotional Reading: Won by Behavior of Wives, 1 Peter 3:1-6.
Aim: To show how the lost may be won by a Christian’s godly example
Home Readings
Monday: “Let Your Light so Shine,” Matthew 5:13-16
Tuesday: When They Behold Your Good Works, 1 Peter 2:9-15.
Wednesday: Influence of Naomi’s Example, Ruth 1:16-18; 2:11-12.
Thursday: Power of Believer’s Example, 1 Timothy 4:12-16.
Friday: “No Evil Thing to Say of You,” Titus 2:7-15.
Saturday: Living Epistles, 2 Corinthians 3:1-5.
Sunday: Noted They’d Been with Jesus, Acts 4:13-18.

1. The Tragedy of a Wrong Example.
“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.” (Matthew 5:13). Powerless salt is worthless. It is good for nothing, but to be cast out. The analogy is clear. When believers fail to live right, fail to witness, and fail to promote the cause of Christ, they are worthless (1 Timothy 3:7).
This is a tragedy to a believer, because he has the potential of being a personal worker for Christ. It is also a tragedy to the lost person, because he needs to see a godly example to encourage him to receive Christ. God commands His followers to avoid setting a wrong example by laying aside sin. “Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,” (1 Peter 2:1). “Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;” (1 Peter 2:11).
Without genuine spirituality those who profess to belong to Christ will be trodden under the feet of men. The lost will ridicule the unspiritual believer. The world will scorn the worldly believer. Unbelievers have nothing but contempt for those who do not back up their profession of faith with a godly life.
Salt was a precious commodity in the ancient world; therefore Christ’s reference to his followers as “the salt of the earth” was a compliment. Believers are in the world to witness against sin and to set an example of righteousness. Such are a precious commodity to the Lord. “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,” 2 Corinthians 6:17).

2. The Glory of a Right Example.
Behind the testimony of the early disciple was the example of godly living which testified to what Christ had done and will do for a sinner. “…and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” (Acts 4:13). That is what the world needs to know. There was evidence in the lives of Peter and John which evidenced their association with Christ. Unshaken loyalty, unfaltering love, and untiring patience will always impress the unsaved.
A believer’s life is vital to the work of God; therefore his life should have a testimony which shines brightly in this crooked and perverse world (Philippians 2:14-18). “Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.” (Matthew 5:15). A secret discipleship leads no one to Christ. An obscure discipleship confuses the lost. The one who really shines his testimony for Christ is the one who lives consistently for Christ.
The candlestick on which one should put his testimony is a New Testament church. “…and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.” (Revelation 1:20).There is no better place on earth for one’s testimony than a true church.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16). “Let your light so shine before men,” is the command of Christ for His people to set a right example. By nature light draws attention to its source. When a believer sets a right example, he draws attention to the Source of his life, not to himself. This is the example John set. “The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.” (John 1:7). This enables the lost to take knowledge of the fact one has been with Jesus in fellowship, in Bible Study, in prayer, and in salvation.

3. The Glory of Good Works.
“That they may see your good works” indicates a believer’s light should radiate to the lost. “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:” (Ephesians 5:8). “Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.” (1 Thessalonians 5:5).
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10). God has set a direction for the believer to walk and it is in “good work.” A believer’s life is to be regulated by “good works.” This pleases God, because He receives glory in “good works” and lost souls can see those “good works.”
Four this cause a believer’s life should be a testimony to God; otherwise that life is wasted. Those who really respect and revere God will do this by their good works. They will manifest the fruit of the Spirit before the world.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
“ Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
“And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:22-25).
One may claim to have faith in the Lord, but if his works do not reflect such the unbeliever will never believe it. Therefore, each believer should have good works which manifest an inner faith. “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.” (James 2:18).

4. The Glory to God.
“and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Is the aim of one’s good work. “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” (John 15:8). “Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.” (Philippians 1:11). “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31).
A pious look will not glorify God and is not the example to show the lost their need for Christ. Using words like “praise the Lord” all the time will not accomplish this. Wearing “clerical” garb will not accomplish this. One’s natural talents do not necessarily accomplish this. Beholding one’s example in good works will lead the lost to glorify God. In this light, each believer should consider what effect his life has on others. “Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.”(1 Peter 2:12).
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” (James 1:22). The life which does not manifest itself in deeds of truth brings no glory to God. God’s Word is for the believer’s nurture and admonition. It grooms and tutors him to glorify God. “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.” (Psalm 119:9). Christ can truly project Himself into such a life (Galatians 2:20).

“My Last Day”
The story unfolds through the eyes of a criminal who receives the same crucifixion sentence as Christ. The criminal’s own guilt causes him to realize more fully Christ’s innocence. “My Last Day” is a short film of regret, repentance and redemption that frames the story of salvation in a new and refreshing way that will capture the attention of a new generation.

Success is to look back to those who help you reach your goal!

**Story of Appreciation**Repost

Pro 31:10-31:
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

One young academically excellent person went to apply for a managerial position in a big company.

He passed the first interview, the director did the last interview, made the last decision.

The director discovered from the CV that the youth's academic achievements were excellent all the way, from the secondary school until the postgraduate research,
Never had a year when he did not score.

The director asked,
"Did you obtain any scholarships in school?"
The youth answered "none".

The director asked,
" Was it your father who paid for your school fees?"
The youth answered,
"My father passed away when I was one year old, it was my mother who paid for my school fees.

The director asked,
" Where did your mother work?"
The youth answered,
"My mother worked as clothes cleaner.
The director requested the youth to show his hands.
The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.

The director asked,
" Have you ever helped your mother wash the clothes before?"
The youth answered,
"Never, my mother always wanted me to study and read more books.
Furthermore, my mother can wash clothes faster than me.

The director said,
"I have a request. When you go back today, go and clean your mother's hands, and then see me tomorrow morning.*

The youth felt that his chance of landing the job was high. When he went back, he happily requested his mother to let him clean her hands. His mother felt strange, happy but with mixed feelings, she showed her hands to the kid.

The youth cleaned his mother's hands slowly. His tear fell as he did that. It was the first time he noticed that his mother's hands were so wrinkled, and there were so many bruises in her hands. Some bruises were so painful that his mother shivered when they were cleaned with water.

This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of hands that washed the clothes everyday to enable him to pay the school fee. The bruises in the mother's hands were the price that the mother had to pay for his graduation, academic excellence and his future.

After finishing the cleaning of his mother's hands, the youth quietly washed all the remaining clothes for his mother.

That night, mother and son talked for a very long time.

Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.

The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes, asked:
" Can you tell me what have you done and learned yesterday in your house?"

The youth answered,
" I cleaned my mother's hand, and also finished cleaning all the remaining clothes'

The Director asked,
" please tell me your feelings."

The youth said,
Number 1,
I know now what is appreciation. Without my mother, there would not the successful me today.
Number 2,
By working together and helping my mother, only I now realize how difficult and tough it is to get something done.
Number 3,
I have come to appreciate the importance and value of family relationship.

The director said,
" This is what I am looking for to be my manager. I want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who would not put money as his only goal in life. You are hired.

Later on, this young person worked very hard, and received the respect of his subordinates. Every employee worked diligently and as a team. The company's performance improved tremendously.

A child, who has been protected and habitually given whatever he wanted, would develop "entitlement mentality"and would always put himself first. He would be ignorant of his parent's efforts.
When he starts work, he assumes that every person must listen to him, and when he becomes a manager, he would never know the sufferings of his employees and would always blame others.
For this kind of people, who may be good academically, may be successful for a while, but eventually would not feel sense of achievement.
He will grumble and be full of hatred and fight for more. If we are this kind of protective parents, are we really showing love or are we destroying the kid instead?*

You can let your kid live in a big house, give him a Driver & Car for going around, Eat a Good Meal, learn Piano, Watch a Big Screen TV. But when you are Cutting Grass, please let them experience it. After a Meal, let them Wash their Plates and Bowls together with their Brothers and Sisters. Tell them to Travel in Public Bus, It is not because you do not have Money for Car or to Hire a Maid, but it is because you want to Love them in a right way. You want them to understand, no matter how rich their parents are, one day their hair will Grow Grey, same as the Mother of that young person. The most important thing is your kid learns how to appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learns the ability to work with others to get things done..

Salvation by Pastor Gerry Calba

SALVATION by Pastor Gerry Calba

January 30, 2013 Wednesday Bible Study

INTRODUCTION: The doctrine of salvation is one of the basic teachings of the Scriptures, Acts 4:12.

I. Salvation according to the Bible
A. The salvation which God’s Word sets forth is unlike anything ever conceived by the
greatest religious minds of the world.
1. Religion teaches that salvation is the result of what man can do.
2. God’s Word declares that salvation is the result of what God has done through His
Son on the cross.
B. This doctrine is the most vital teaching that sinful mankind has ever heard.
C. It is important that we learn some of the basic facts about salvation.

II. The meaning of salvation
A. It is a deliverance from sin and its consequences.
B. Deliverance from sin and its consequences came to Zacchaeus, Luke 19:9.
C. The message of salvation is a message of deliverance from sin and its consequences, John 3:18.

III. The need of salvation
A. It is necessary because of man’s nature, Ephesians 2:3.
1. All are sinners, Romans 3:10,23.
2. The wages of sin is death, Romans 6:23.
3. All sinners are under condemnation, Romans 5:18.
B. It is necessary because men can do nothing to commend themselves to God.
1. His works of righteousness are as filthy rags, Isaiah 64:6.
2. Righteous works cannot save us, Romans 3:20; Titus 3:5.
C. It is necessary because of God’s nature.
1. He is absolutely holy, Leviticus 19:2.
2. He cannot overlook sin, Exodus 23:21.

IV. The way of salvation
A. Salvation is a work of God, Jonah 2:9.
1. The Father thought it, John 3:16.
2. The Son bought it, I Peter 2:24.
3. The Holy Spirit wrought it, John 6:63.
B. Salvation is received by the sinner through four means:
1. The work of God, Romans 1:16; 10:17.
2. Holy Spirit conviction, John 6:44; 16:8-11.
3. Repentance of sin, Luke 13:3; Acts 17:30.
4. Faith in Christ, John 3:16; Acts 16:31; (Note: the sinner is saved at the point of faith
in Christ, Ephesians 2:8.)
C. God offers salvation; man receives it.5

V. The results of salvation
A. The sinner becomes a child of God, John 1:12.
1. He is forgiven of all sins, Colossians 1:14.
2. He is justified before God, Romans 3:28.
B. He has eternal life, John 5:24.
1. He shall never be condemned to hell, John 6:37.
2. He has passed from death unto life, Ephesians 2:1.
3. There is absolutely nothing that can separate a child of God from Christ, Romans
8:38,39.

Why I Am A Missionary Baptist and Not Catholic or Protestant.

Why I Am A Missionary Baptist
INTRODUCTION
The Apostle Peter says; be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you. " { I Peter 3:15 ; }, and I am confident that we, as Missionary Baptist, ought to be ready to give Bible reasons why we are Missionary Baptists, for if we do not hold Bible principles distinct, not taught nor held by other denominations, then we have no right to a separate existence from them

I. I AM A MISSIONARY BAPTIST BECAUSE JOHN THE BAPTIST WAS A,
1. MISSIONARY - In John 1:6, says; there was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John. The word “missionary " means ' one sent, “John was sent therefore he was a missionary.
2. BAPTIST - In Matthew 11:11; Says; Verily I say unto you, among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
Matthew 3:1. In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, We know he was a “BAPTIST “for Jesus Christ the son of God called him a BAPTIST.
3. PREACHER - In Matthew 3:1; Says; in those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, He preach, therefore we know he was a preacher. Read down and you will have '' JOHN THE BAPTIST A MISSIONARY BAPTIST PREACHER.
II. I AM A MISSIONARY BAPTIST BECAUSE JESUS CHRIST WAS A;
1. MISSIONARY - In John 3:17; Says; For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 20:21; Says; then said Jesus to them again, Peace [be] unto you: as [my] Father hath sent me, even so send I you. Christ was sent, therefore He was a Missionary.
2. BAPTIST - Mark 1:9; 9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, who was a MISSIONARY BAPTIST PREACHER' therefore we know Jesus was a MISSIONARY BAPTIST ' because He had “MISSIONARY BAPTIST BAPTISM.'
3. PREACHER - Matthew 4:17, says: 17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Jesus preached, therefore He was a preacher.
III. I AM A MISSIONARY BAPTIST BECAUSE THE TWELVE APOSTLES WERE;
1. MISSIONARY - In Matthew 10:5, Says ; These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into [any] city of the Samaritans enter ye not: THE WORD " MISSIONARY ' MEANS ONE SENT' THEY WERE SENT, THEREFORE THEY WERE MISSIONARIES...
2. BAPTIST - In Acts 1:21,22; Says; Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection. THEY WERE BAPTIZED BY JOHN THE BAPTIST, WHO WAS A “MISSIONARY BAPTIST PREACHER, THEREFORE THEY WERE MISSIONARY BAPTIST. No one could take the place of Judas who had not followed all the way from the baptism of John down to the ascension of Jesus.
3. PREACHER - In Matthew 10:7; Says; 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. THEY PREACHED, THEREFORE; THEY WERE PREACHERS -HENCE; MISSIONARY BAPTIST PREACHERS’
IV. THE CHURCH WHICH WAS INSTITUTED BY JESUS CHRIST DURING HIS PERSONAL MINISTRY WAS A:
1. MISSIONARY - In Matthew 28:19, 20; Says ; Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world Amen. This church was sent out to preach the gospel to the whole world; therefore they were a “MISSIONARY CHURCH."
2. BAPTIST - Acts 1: 21, 22; they all had “MISSIONARY BAPTIST" baptism. All the first members of the church were baptized by John the baptist, a “MISSIONARY BAPTIST PREACHER," MATTHEW 3:1-6. Jesus was baptized by him. This probed Jesus to be a “MISSIONARY BAPTIST PREACHER." Jesus took this “MISSIONARY BAPTIST MATERIAL," and out of it He constituted His Church - Mark 3: therefore the church was a “MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH."
3. CHURCH - In Matthew 16:18. Says; And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
V. I AM A MISSIONARY BAPTIST BECAUSE GOD IS A:
1. MISSIONARY - John 3:17; John 1:6; I fact, when there was no one else to send, GOD sent Himself. He went in person and talked to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, Geneses 3:9-17. He sent Noah, Abraham, Moses, Joseph and hundreds of others hence we know God was and is a MISSIONARY.
2. BAPTIST - He sent the “Man Named John” who was a “MISSIONARY BAPTIST “therefore by this act we know that God was a MISSIONARY BAPTIST.

VI. I AM A MISSIONARY BAPTIST BECAUSE THE HOLY SPIRIT IS A
1. MISSIONARY - In John 14:26; says ; But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. The Holy Spirit was sent into the world- therefore we know He is a MISSIONARY BAPTIST.
2. BAPTIST - In Matthew 3:16-17; Says; Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. 14} But John forbade him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15} And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer [it to be so] now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16 } And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 } And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
He endorsed the baptism of John, who was a “MISSIONARY BAPTIST “therefore we know that the Holy Spirit is a “MISSIONARY BAPTIST “.
The baptism of John the Baptist was endorsed by Jesus Christ, the son, and by the Father and by the Holy Spirit. Mark 1:9-11; It was endorsed by the Church, and by all true Missionary Baptists of today, and by no others It was good enough for Jesus, the Apostles, the Church, Paul and others - it is good enough for me.
VII. THE NEW TESTAMENT IS A;
1. MISSIONARY - It contains the doctrines and practices of all the Missionaries sent out by Jesus Christ.
2. BAPTIST ; Written by " Missionary Baptist " writers, like Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, James, Peter, and Jude, all of whom were members of " MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCHES " IT WAS INSPIRED BY A " MISSIONARY BAPTIST GOD " ITS WRITERS GUIDED BY A " MISSIONARY BAPTIST SPIRIT " and it was given to " MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCHES " II Tim. 3:16, 17; All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 ] That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. In Revelation 1: 4, 6: says; John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
5 ] And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 ] And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. IT CONTAINS MISSIONARY BAPTIST DOCTRINES, AND MISSIONARY BAPTISTS believe it all - every word of it from one side to the other. It is a “LAMP" to our feet and a LIGHT to our path. We love it, we cherish its truth, and we respect its wonderful teachings and expect to be judged by it at the judgment.
The churches of our Lord Jesus Christ have not always been called by the name," MISSIONARY BAPTIST, but have borne many names, a few of which I name here; Donatist, Montanist, Novatians, Paulicians, Arnoldtists, Anabaptist, Baptist and doubtless by many other names too numerous to mention here, but in every case they were in fact MISSIONARY BAPTIST. The Lord gave His forerunner the name Baptist - hence it is a Scriptural name but really in fact the Church of Jesus Christ is to be identified by its doctrinal teachings more so than by name. These folks who have been called by all these various names have believed, taught and practiced in the main what MISSIONARY BAPTIST " OF TODAY BELIEVE, TEACH AND PRACTICE.

ORIGINAL Song compositions

MY FAVORITE SONGS:

STARS IN HEAVEN
(Composed in IloiloMBIS, Iloilo City by John Brillantes (1987 )
As I see the stars in heaven
Twinkling in the skies
I have seen the beauty
That God has made for us.

As the night is getting darker,
But the light still shines
And the light gets even more even more brighter
Like the Son of God.

CHORUS:

You are a star in God’s creation my friend, you are important in God’s eyes
He died for you,
and set you free
Let His love be shown in you…

Don’t let sin destroy that light
That God has given you
Confess your sins to God
It will brighten your life.

Don’t be shy to share that light
To the sinful world
Lead them to Jesus Christ
Who is the true light
(Repeat Chorus)

MY BIBLE AND I
(Composed in Malvar boarding hauz, Davao by John Brillantes 1987)
We’ve traveled together, my Bible and I
Through all kinds of weather
With smile or with sigh
In sorrow or sunshine, In tempest or calm thy friendship unchanging my lamp and my Psalm.

We’ve traveled together, my Bible and I when life has grown weary and death e’en was nigh but all through the darkness of mist and of wrong I found thee a solace, a prayer or a song.

CHORUS:
And now my dear Bible reveal er of light thou sword of the spirit, put error to flight and still through life’s journey until the last sigh we’ll travel together, my Bible and I

So now who shall part us, my Bible and I shall ism or schism, or new lights who try, shall shadow for substance, or stone for good bread, supplant its sound wisdom, give folly instead
(Repeat chorus)

LIFE WITHOUT CHRIST
(Lyrics by Tina Quaizon & Melody by John Brillantes in Angeles City)
As I think how blessed I am
I can't imagine life without your loving hand
As I closed my eyes
And see the beauty in me.

Lord, what will my life be without you?
Knowing that I exist only for you
To think that my life is without a price,
Yet for my sins you sacrificed.

CHORUS:
My life would be a huge chunk of darkness
My soul would be a vast space of loneliness
Every success I owe it to thee,
Without you Lord, without you Lord,
This Life's a misery.

Please don't let me astray,
Because your presence is my only joy,
Everlasting life is being with you, I know,
So let me live the life that Jesus showed.
(Repeat Chorus)

CITY OF GOLD
(Composed in Vinzon, by John Brillantes)
Heaven is a place for people,
A people bound for glory;
As you can see the beauty,
Of that magnificent city.

Chorus:

City of Gold, City of gold
That is the home in glory,
City of gold, city of gold,
That is the place prepared for me.

Heaven is a great big city,
Where streets are made of gold,
You can't see a teardrop fallen,
A place that happy people live.
(Repeat chorus)

Christ is the stairway to heaven,
We need to repent and accept Him,
To be a part of the Kingdom,
A people bound for heaven.
(Repeat chorus)

HEED THE CALL
(Composed in DCMBC, Matina, Davao City by John Brillantes)

Intro: I surrender all chorus..

Look behind you who's there,
Look beside you who's there,
Do you know the people around you,
Maybe you don't know that they are living in sin,
And are bounded to hell.

Maybe you don't care, maybe you don't mind,
But it's time that you should realize,
That the duty to share the love of God,
Is in the people of God.

CHORUS:

God calls you, He calls you,
His work must be done;
He uses people like you to share the gospel to the lost...
Whoever you are, God calls you.

In the mountain, in the hills,
In the valleys and in the cities;
Millions of people go, millions of people die,
But do they know that they are saved?

Sa kacebuanohan, sa kailonggohan,
Bisag asang katawhan,
Ato gayong ipalapnag sa tanan,
Si Kristo ang kaluwasan.

(Repeat chorus)

Kapit bisig kaibigan tayo'y magtulungan,
Isigaw sa buong mundo,
Mula Luzon, Visayas at Mindanao,
Si Hesus ang kaluwasan.

(Chorus)

Whoever you are, God calls you...
Coda:

I surrender all, I surrender all,
All to thee my blessed Savior,
I surrender all...
